Delete your SMARTAURA account

Delete your account yourself in the app in under a minute, or ask us to do it if you no longer have the app.

Deleting your account is permanent. It cannot be undone. You can sign up again later with the same mobile number or Google account, but you will start as a new user with no homes or devices.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open the SMARTAURA app and sign in.
  2. Open Account from the menu.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Read what will happen, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete account again.

When it finishes, the app signs you out and takes you back to the sign-in screen.

What is deleted straight away

  • Your profile: name, email address, mobile number and the link to your Google account
  • Your homes and rooms
  • Your saved delivery address
  • Your app alerts, notification settings and push notification tokens
  • Your sign-in sessions on every phone, so the app is signed out everywhere
  • Sharing: access you gave to family members, and access others gave to you
  • The history of the WLC controllers and tank sensors you own, such as water level readings and pump run time

Your WLC controller and tank sensors

If you own a WLC kit, it is released from your account: it can no longer be seen or controlled from your app, and the people you shared it with lose access. The next owner has to set it up again from scratch, including a factory reset of the controller using its BOOT button. Before you delete your account, check that the pump is off or in manual mode.

What we keep, and why

  • Orders, payments and refunds. Indian tax and company law require us to keep them for 8 years. The name, mobile number and delivery address on the order stay on the order record only. The order is no longer connected to any account.
  • Support requests. The history stays as a service record, but your name and contact details are replaced with "Deleted user". We keep your mobile number on a request only while a refund or service visit is still open and needs it.
  • A security log. A record that the account was deleted, with a user ID only and no name or contact details.

A published testimonial from you is unpublished.

If you no longer have the app

Send us a request below, using the mobile number you signed up with. We will call you back on that number to confirm it is you, then delete your account.
